Formerly General Manager at Honeywell's Smart Grid Solutions, he now heads Mining and Energy at Lightning Ventures while serving as CEO of Adakon Energy. With a BSME from Tulane and an MBA from Kenan-Flagler (UNC),
Joe resides in St. Petersburg, Florida, with his wife Shelby, and his daughter.

Justin Ballard, Adakon Energy Solutions' General Counsel since February 2024, is a multifaceted professional renowned for expertise in energy, Bitcoin mining, and law. Beginning at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, he co-founded Century Natural Resources, gaining insight into the intersection of Bitcoin mining and oil and gas.
Ballard's legal acumen has earned widespread recognition, particularly in navigating bitcoin mining transactions and energy regulations. He co-hosts the "Energizing Bitcoin" podcast, showcasing his expertise and passion for innovation. Residing in North Houston with his family, Ballard enjoys traveling, fishing, and family time.

Howard is a distinguished real estate expert with decades of experience and is renowned for identifying prime opportunities and executing successful ventures. Notably, he's led iconic projects like 393 Walgreens, totaling over 5,502,000 square feet. Beyond Walgreens, he's overseen acquisitions and developments, including eight Walmart locations, six hotels, and various residential and office spaces, showcasing his versatility. At Adakon Energy, Howard continues to pioneer emerging trends, driven by his passion for innovation and excellence in real estate.

Alex Hays
Alex leverages extensive leadership and operational expertise. A 2008 United States Merchant Marine Academy graduate, Alex spent 12 years as a professional sailor, attaining a Master's Unlimited certification. With over 3 years in Bitcoin mining, he's been involved in self-mining, consulting, and as Founder/CEO of Orion & Taurus, specializing in ASIC repair.
Alex's blend of Bitcoin mining knowledge, operational acumen, and passion for infrastructure development enriches the Adakon team.

Cameron McDonald
Cameron brings over a decade of energy industry experience. He's driven by leveraging Bitcoin mining for grid stability and cost-effective energy projects. With a background in energy optimization at NRG Energy and solar project development, he transitioned to Bitcoin mining at Foundry Digital, managing operations and development. Cameron holds a dual major in Entrepreneurship and Business Management with a minor in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. Based in Buffalo, New York, his energy and Bitcoin mining expertise adds significant value to the Adakon team.
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Sarah Ballard
Sarah brings nearly a decade of finance experience. Starting as a Client Service Associate, she excelled in understanding client needs. She transitioned to Mortgage Loan Officer and Processor and gained lending and real estate expertise. Sarah's attention to detail and financial prowess earned client trust.
Recently intrigued by Bitcoin, she balances work with family time, travel, and volunteer work fighting human trafficking with Rescue America.
